Find answers to common questions about your stay at La Villa de Mazamet, from room details to dining options and everything in between.

  • The main difference is that the Superior Twin / Double rooms have a King-size bed when set up as a double room, whereas the Superior Balcony rooms have a Queen-size bed and two private south-facing balconies with a gorgeous view of the mountain.

  • Each room can have either single or double occupancy. We are not able to provide additional beds in the guestrooms.

  • We welcome children over the age of 14 years old who will be required to occupy their own bedroom.

  • Yes, of two nights during peak weekends in July and August.

  • Yes, La Villa is available throughout our season for exclusive (private) use, sleeping up to 12 guests. Exclusive use means that only you and your guests will have access to La Villa during your reserved period. Visit the Exclusive Use page for more information.

  • With the exception of assistance dogs, we do not accept any pets or other animals.

  • Yes, all our guest bedrooms have air conditioning and heating. Common areas do not have AC.

  • Yes, a 0.92€ city tax per person per night is due.

  • No. La Villa is a smoking-free environment which includes all of the interior guest rooms, balconies and common areas. Guests who wish to smoke are requested to do so in the gardens and to stay mindful of other clients.

  • We do not offer a self-service laundry, but are happy to launder a mixed bag of laundry for 20€. The items are returned un-pressed. An iron, a board and a laundry bag are provided in each bedroom.

  • Our pool is heated by the sun! Temperatures range between 20 and 25 degrees in the summer.

  • In addition to the pool and gardens, inside La Villa we have two guest lounges with TV and board games, a small library, over 250 DVD movies, table d'hôtes restaurant and Le Petit Spa with a sauna, jacuzzi and massages.

  • Yes, free WiFi is available throughout La Villa. A password will be provided upon check-in.

  • La Villa de Mazamet is a B&B, which means you will be staying in our home. We own and operate it ourselves and take pride in offering a personal, welcoming experience. Unlike hotels, a B&B provides a more intimate atmosphere, with direct interaction with your hosts and a focus on hospitality and comfort.

  • Yes, we offer a four-course table d'hôtes menu every Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm, and grazing sharing platters on other evenings. We kindly ask that you give us a minimum 24 hour notice so that we can organize our shopping for fresh produce. Dinner available on other nights for parties of 4 guests minimum: contact us.

  • Table d'hôtes is a fixed menu for all diners. Our menu consists of four courses: starter, main, cheese selection & dessert – you may see our sample menus here. The price of the menu is 39.50€. Wines and other beverages are charged separately.

  • Yes, upon request, we offer a simple"Poolside sandwich" set. For those who prefer a more substantial lunch, we are happy to recommend places to eat on your day out or within walking distance of La Villa.

  • In most cases, yes. We ask you in advance if you have any specific allergies or dislikes. Due to the nature of serving a single table d'hôte menu, we are sorry that we are unable to cater for guests with a vegan or strict no-dairy diet. Please also note that whilst we cater for guests with nut and other food allergies/intolerances; nuts, wheat, lactose and other potential allergens are regularly used in our kitchen and served on the breakfast buffet.

  • La Villa de Mazamet is a full-service B&B with an extensive reasonably-priced drinks and wine list, available throughout the day. As such, we do not permit the consumption of items not purchased from us in the public areas nor the garden. We also do not permit eating of cooked/hot food in the bedrooms.

  • Yes, there are a selection of restaurants that we can suggest on nights you do not choose to eat at La Villa. Commonly, restaurants open for lunch from noon until 2pm and from 7pm – 9.30pm for dinner.

  • We require a 25% deposit to confirm your reservation. When you make a reservation on our website, the payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard or American Express. In case of a booking over the phone or email, you will be sent a payment link to process the payment online, again by Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

  • We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Union Pay, Google Pay and Apple Pay.

  • Yes, we can supply a bespoke gift certificate for any special occasion and either mail the certificate to you or the recipient directly. For more information, please use our contact form.

  • La Villa is located just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Mazamet, a traditional market town in the Department of the Tarn (region of the Occitanie). Mazamet is located within 2 hours of five international airports and equal distance between the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Albi (north) and Carcassonne (south).

  • La Villa de Mazamet is located in a quiet residential area with free on-street parking directly outside of our main gates. We do not provide parking on the premises but are happy to store items, and accommodate bicycles in our garage.

  • Whilst you can reach La Villa by train (from Toulouse) or pre-arranged taxi from Carcassonne, we do advise car hire to make the most of your break to get out & about to explore the area around Mazamet. If you are coming for a short break and do not want to hire a car, transport from the airport can be arranged, as well as a car and driver for day trips.

  • As there are steps from the garden into the house and stairs to all bedrooms, La Villa de Mazamet is not suitable for those with reduced mobility or a disability that prevents using stairs.

  • The earliest time of arrival is 4pm. If possible, we ask guests to arrive between 4pm and 7pm. If you travel plans dictate a later arrival, please let us know in advance (as we will be looking after dinner guests after this time and want to ensure we can settle you in and offer you a complimentary welcome drink).

  • To ensure that we are able to run La Villa to a high standard, with a personalized service, we need to have some down-time ourselves too in the early afternoon. We want to be able to welcome guests, show you around, offer a complimentary drink and answer your questions when you arrive with us – so we ask guests to please respect our 4pm (onwards) arrival time.

  • Departure time is by 11am.
