Each room can have either single or double occupancy, we are not able to provide additional beds in the guestrooms.
We welcome children over the age of 14 years old who will be required to occupy their own bedroom.
Throughout our season we have a minimum two-night stay, sometimes three-nights during peak weekends in July & August.
Yes, La Villa is available throughout the year for exclusive (private) use for up to 12 guests – exclusive use means that only you and your guests will have access to La Villa during your reserved period. If you would like to enquire about exclusive use please email [email protected]
With the exception of assistance dogs, we do not accept any pets or other animals.
All of our guest bedrooms have individually controlled air conditioning and heating.
We do not offer a self-service laundry but are happy to launder a mixed-bag of laundry for just 18 €. The items are returned un-pressed although an iron & ironing board are provided in each bedroom.
The swimming pool is open between Easter and the middle of October from 10am – 7pm and is heated by the sun! During this period, the temperatures range between 20 and 30 degrees.
In addition to the pool & gardens, inside La Villa we have two guest lounges, a small library, over 250 DVD movies, table d’hôtes restaurant and Le Petit Spa with a sauna, Jacuzzi & massages.
Free WiFi is available throughout La Villa, we provide you with a password when you check in.
Yes; we offer a four-course table d’hôtes menu every Friday-Sunday evenings at 8pm; on other evenings (with the exception of Monday’s) we offer Mediterranean sharing platters. We will ask you in advance if you would like to dine on the night you arrive with us, thereafter we ask you the evening prior for the following night’s dinner.
Table d’hôtes is a fixed menu without choice. Our menu consists of four courses: starter, main, cheese selection & pudding – you may see our sample menus here. The price of the menu is 36.50€, wines and other beverages are charged separately.
Yes, there are a selection of restaurants that we can suggest on nights you do not choose to eat at La Villa (and on Monday evening when we do not serve dinner). Commonly, restaurants open for lunch from noon until 2pm and from 7pm – 9.30pm for dinner.
Although we do not serve lunch, from 1pm until 4pm daily we offer a “Poolside Panini” a choice of fillings & potato crisps. For those who prefer a more substantial lunch, we are happy to recommend places to eat on your day out or within walking distance of La Villa.
In most cases, yes. We ask you in advance if you have any specific allergies or dislikes.
Due to the nature of serving a single table d’hôte menu, we are sorry that we are unable to cater for guests with a vegan or strict no-dairy diet. Please also note that that whilst we cater for guests with nut and other food allergies/intolerances; nuts, wheat, lactose and other potential allergens are regularly used in our kitchen and served on the breakfast buffet.
La Villa de Mazamet is a full-service B&B with an extensive reasonably-priced drinks & wine list, available throughout the day. We do not permit the consumption of items not purchased from us in the public areas nor the garden. We also do not permit eating of cooked/hot food in the bedrooms.
La Villa de Mazamet offers a complete smoking-free environment which includes all of the interior rooms, garden & pool area. Guests who wish to smoke are requested to do so outside of our main gates.

When you make a reservation direct, a 25% deposit is taken to confirm your reservation; this may be made by Visa, MasterCard or debit card, French cheque or bank transfer. For reservations for the next calendar year, deposits are taken in the January of that year.
If you cancel your reservation up to 30 days prior to arrival your deposit will be refunded. Within 30 days, your deposit will not be refunded, unless we are able to resell the room for an equal amount. If you cancel your reservation within 7 days of your arrival, we reserve the right to charge a further 25% of the total cost of your stay to your credit card, unless we are able to resell the reserved bedroom for an equal or greater value.
If you checkout part way through your stay, the remaining nights will be charged in full; if we are able to re-sell the room, for nights cancelled, a refund will be made . A “no-show” is regarded as a failure to arrive before 11pm, without notification, on the date reserved whereupon we reserve the right to charge your credit card for the full duration of your stay.
It is the responsibility of each guest to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance in place to cover the eventuality of the costs incurred by their cancellation. We are happy to supply written evidence of your reservation and any deposits made should these be requested by your insurance provider.

If you make your reservation via a third-party website; for example, Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com etc. a 50% non-refundable deposit will be charged. The balance 50% will be charged 3 days prior to arrival. For reservations made within 3 days of arrival through such websites, the full cost of the reservation is charged and is non-refundable.

La Villa is located just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Mazamet, a traditional market town in the Department of the Tarn (region of the Occitanie). Mazamet is located within 2 hours of five international airports and equal distance between the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Albi (north) and Carcassonne (south). Whether you like the great outdoors, visiting medieval villages, enjoying a glass of wine at a vineyard, or playing golf… there really is something for everyone in and around Mazamet. On our website we provide some ideas of things to do within Mazamet, within 15 mins and for a day out.
We are more than happy to suggest places to see and have a host of information when you arrive, together with itineraries & maps for days-out (including great places to stop for lunch). Mazamet also has a very good Office du Tourisme which is open year-round.
La Villa is open from the Easter weekend until 31st October annually.
Whist you can reach La Villa by Train (from Toulouse) or pre-arranged taxi from Carcassonne, we do advise car hire to make the most of your break to get out & about to explore the area around Mazamet.
Driving in France is often a pleasure as the roads are much less crowded than in most other countries.
If you are coming for a short break and do not want to hire a car, transport from the airport can be arranged (approximately 65 € from Carcassonne and 120 € from Toulouse) as well as a car & driver for day trips.
La Villa de Mazamet is located in a quiet residential area with free on-street parking directly outside of our main gates. We do not provide parking on the premises but are happy to store items (like boxes of wine & golf clubs) in our garage during your stay. Details of parking can be found here (pdf).
As there are steps from the garden into the house and stairs to all bedrooms, La Villa de Mazamet is not suitable for those with reduced mobility or a disability that prevents using stairs.
The earliest time of arrival is 4pm. If possible, we ask guests to arrive between 4pm and 7.00pm. If you travel plans dictate a later arrival, please let us know in advance (as we will be looking after dinner guests after this time and want to ensure we can settle you in and offer you a complimentary welcome drink).
To ensure that we are able to run La Villa to a high standard, with a personalised service, we need to have some down-time ourselves too in the early afternoon. We want to be able to welcome guests, show you around, offer a complimentary drink and answer your questions when you arrive with us – so we ask guests to please respect our 4pm (onwards) arrival time.
Departure time is by 11am.
