Welcome to the new owners of La Villa de Mazamet
We would like to say bonjour as new owners of La Villa de Mazamet.
Geoffrey is from Saint Germain les Corbeil, a small suburban city located 40 kms south of Paris (and a mouthful to pronounce!).
While pursuing a Master’s degree in Bordeaux, he studied and interned in Japan and Canada. That’s how he got the traveling bug! After another two years in Melbourne, he finally went back to Bordeaux where he thought he was going to stay put for a while… Until he met…
…Janice, from Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. With her BCom in the bag, she went on to live and work in Singapore, New York and ultimately Hong Kong. She then went to study pâtisserie at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris as a personal challenge. She fell in love with the City & France (she has probably visited more places than Geoffrey!), and one of its citizens!
We love hosting and welcoming family & friends into our home, and that is why, after having lived together in Hong Kong and Sydney for the past 5 years, we are ready to start a new chapter in our lives.
Our move to Mazamet will see the culmination of a dream to own a chambres d’hôtes in France. While scouting the Carcassonne area last summer, we were completely awestruck by the charm and quaintness of La Villa and Mazamet. This is where we will carry on preparing good food and enjoying many a glass of wine.
We share Peter and Mark’s passion of offering first class service, warmth and hospitality and we can’t wait to re-open the doors of La Villa in the upcoming season as its new owners.
We look forward to meeting many of you in person in the coming months, whether you have stayed at La Villa before or will be coming to stay for the first time.
À bientôt!
Geoffrey & Janice
